As the Clinical Applications Lead, you’ll lead the implementation of clinical applications — with a focus on the Laboratory Information System (LIS) — across a shared pathology service. This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-profile, enterprise-level health IT initiative that will shape clinical workflows across multiple health services. You will be part of a forward-thinking digital health team, reporting to the Digital Program Manager and working closely with clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery and integration of clinical applications (LIS, EMR, PAS) to support the shared pathology service.
- Provide technical leadership and coordination across digital pathology teams and health service stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure quality, timely project delivery.
- Coordinate data collection, integration builds, and alignment across multiple health services.
- Support system testing, defect management, and change control processes.
- Drive best-practice standards in system design, interoperability, and implementation.
You will have:
- Significant experience with Cerner Millennium (especially Orders & Results) and integration with EMR and PAS systems.
- Experience managing and implementing enterprise-scale clinical applications projects (>$1M+).
- Strong data analysis, change management, and project leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in health informatics, IT, or a related discipline.
- Experience with Oracle Health applications and familiarity with Cerner Data Collection Workbooks.
- Previous exposure to laboratory or clinical workflows and process design.
