About the company- Our healthcare client is looking for Digital Pathology Data engineer will assist in expanding and optimizing our data architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams in Melbourne on 6 month fixed term contract.

About the role-
Qualifications

  • Tertiary and/or Industry Qualifications in Information Technology
  • Experience in assisting in the development, planning, management, and implementation of IT projects including familiarity with best practice industry standards.
  • Knowledge of business processes.
  • Experience in supporting and assisting with system design and development from business requirement analysis through to project implementation and handover to operational teams.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
Technical skills/knowledge/experience

  • Experience in the Health Sector (preferably in Pathology).
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Experience with creating data models in Power BI.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
  • Ability to foster amicable working relationships and contribute to positive team culture.
