- Our construction client is looking for Data Loss Protection Officer will be responsible for leading and managing data protection strategies across organisation, including Data Loss Protection (DLP) related technologies and processes to prevent the unauthorised loss, leakage, or misuse of sensitive information. The Data Loss Protection Officer will also play a key role in the configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of DLP tools, as well as supporting data classification and protection policies across the organisation.
About the role-
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or accredited tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data security or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working with Data Loss Protection technologies.
- Strong hands-on experience with DLP tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Symantec DLP, Forcepoint, ProofPoint, Digital Guardian etc).
- Familiarity with data classification, information rights management (IRM), encryption, and endpoint protection.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations such as GDPR, Australian Privacy Principles, etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE).
- Understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
