As a Digital Pathology Interface Engineer, you’ll help build, test, and deploy system interfaces connecting the SLIS with a broad network of external systems and devices across multiple hospitals and regional health services. Working alongside experienced integration teams and vendors, you’ll be hands-on in enabling smooth and accurate data flow across systems—essential to delivering world-class digital pathology services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and configure multiple system interfaces using integration engines, including Rhapsody
- Plan, execute, and document System Integration Testing (SIT)
- Support and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Prepare and deploy interfaces for SLIS Go-Live and post-go-live support
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and health IT teams
- Attend technical workshops and contribute to solution design sessions
- Provide hyper-care and troubleshooting support after implementation
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Rhapsody Associate Certification (Professional Certificate desirable)
- At least 2 years’ experience in HL7 V2 integration within hospital or health IT settings
- Strong skills in JavaScript, SQL queries, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewall rules)
- Experience using HL7 testing tools and interface design documentation
- Knowledge of:
- Cerner Millennium HL7 integration (desirable)
- iPM PAS and pathology medical device integration (desirable)
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality technical standards
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
