We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server / Azure DBA to join our client's team on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated database professional who thrives in both project delivery and BAU environments. The role offers a great balance of technical challenge and flexibility, working largely remotely with a Melbourne-based organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level support and administration for SQL Server databases (2014 and above).
- Lead and contribute to Azure cloud migration and build projects.
- Split your time 50/50 between project-based work and business-as-usual (BAU) support.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Monitor performance, ensure high availability, and troubleshoot database issues as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA, with deep expertise in SQL Server 2014+.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments, particularly in database builds and migrations.
- Ability to manage and balance both project and BAU workload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What’s on Offer:
- $900 – $1,000 p/d.
- Initial 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of ongoing work.
